ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT: Bailey set to graduate, about to hit the skies

2017 Baldwin High School graduate Emma Bailey has been traveling all over the world with an internship from Delta Airlines.

“During my internship, I traveled to Chile, Canada, Amsterdam, Paris, and Aruba internationally. I also traveled around the US to Boston, Indianapolis, Chicago, Austin, and Baldwin of course,” Bailey said. “Delta Air Lines is an incredible company to intern & I would absolutely encourage students to apply.”

Bailey credits her internship to some of her classes she took at BHS.

“Taking all of your high school classes seriously is important but Comp I and II are really helpful in those big college essays. I also recommend taking Calculus and Forensics. The most important thing is learning how to learn and how to study. Make connections with your teachers and work hard,” Bailey said.

She plans on majoring in economics and Spanish from DePauw University in Indiana.

“After graduation, I hope to get a job in instructional design, training, or learning and development in a corporate setting. Hopefully somewhere international or somewhere I can use Spanish regularly,” Bailey said.
