BHS math teacher Kymberlee Garcia

There are a total of 5,300 colleges in the United States of America. Some of the colleges are pretty small, but others are way too big. Baldwin High School math Teacher Kymberlee Garcia went to five of them.

“K-State was the most over-populated college I went to,” Garcia said. “I had more than one class where if you didn’t get there 20 minutes early you were sitting on the floor in the back.”

Some colleges are pretty boring, but others are really fun. Harvard University is America’s top college.

“I had a lot of fun at Barton County Community College,” Garcia said. “But I think overall it was the University of Nebraska Omaha because that’s where I finished college, so there are better memories there.”

Garcia has been a math teacher for ten years now and has many memories.

“Anytime anyone falls asleep it’s pretty funny because of how I wake them up, but I don’t know if I can pick the funniest out of the ten years,” Garcia said.

Growing up you are either really struggle with math or you are super good at it, and if you are really good at it like Garcia you become a math teacher.

“When I was a little kid I was really good at math, so in second grade I was in a special math group where everything made sense,” Garcia said. “I thought it was super fun, so I decided then and there that I was going to become a math teacher.”
