Loving cooking

Cydney Novotney is the social worker here at BHS, and is an enjoyed employer by all at BHS, but many may not know of her passion for cooking.

Growing up in Mrs.Novotney’s house her mom and dad had a rule.

“In my house we either helped with dishes or helped with dinner, and I hated doing the dishes,” Novotney said.

This began in 5th grade. Novotney began cooking and got taught tips and tricks from her mom. She continued the cooking through her high school years.

Novotney stated that when she was in high school her dad and her mom would help pre-make a pizza on friday night and her parents would let her have her friends over.

Throughout Novotney mom’s life she had always made various elaborate dishes for dinner and this helped Novotney expand her horizons and delve deeper into the world of culinary.

Today her and her husband enjoy coming home to one another and cooking dinner.

“I and my husband just love how food brings everyone together,” Novotney said.

Novotney has tried many dishes, some hard, such as sushi, or spaghetti and meatballs which is her favorite to make.

“I make all fresh ingredients, and home make all the noodles for spaghetti.”
