How to take the perfect gym selfie

Taking a good gym selfie is an art form of the most prestigious nature. Attempting to take a good picture of yourself while simultaneously flexing every muscle in your upper body is no easy task. It requires skill, talent and experience.

Here are some valuable tips when taking a gym selfie. Make sure you are wearing the tightest shirt you own, it should show off your sick bicep pump if you just finished a killer arm workout. You have a couple choices on the type of shirt you choose, you could go with a t-shirt, bro tank. If you choose a long sleeve then there is no hope for you discontinue reading at this point. If you choose a t-shirt and have a developed chest always go for a v-neck but this can be risky, if your v-neck is too deep you’re going to end up looking like the creepy guy that you always see in the locker room but never see actually working out. If you’re smart and have some nice upper body eye candy then always choose the bro tank, this shows off the things you likely spend the most time on in the gym, your chest and arms. If you’re feeling extra alpha you could always go shirtless, this can be extremely risky given that any and all imperfections on your body will be visible and could be pointed out by people on social media who are significantly smaller than you and are seeking self-validation from the attempted belittling of someone else, but it can pay off when their girlfriends slide into your DM’s because they just saw your insanely hot shirtless pic.

When actually taking the picture be sure to flex every muscle in your upper body besides your neck, no one wants to see your weird neck veins bro. Be sure that the picture does not show your face, regardless of how attractive you are this is about your body, mainly your upper body, not your jawline. If you’re taking this picture in the locker room be sure there are no judgemental small people around to hate on you for taking a lit selfie. Filters are useful but be careful that you don’t overuse them or you’ll give the haters another thing to hate about.

If you follow all these tips and are at least somewhat large then you can and will take the perfect gym selfie. It may take a hundred attempts and a significant amount of time flexing all your muscles in front of a mirror, but in the end the perfect selfie will come and those 100 or so likes and hater comments will make it all worth it.
