Baldwin High School has welcomed two new faces to our athletic program this year. These include head volleyball coach, Jill Stutler, and head soccer coach, Matt McCune.

“Both coaches bring a great deal of experience to our athletic department and we hope that will lead us to long term success in both our soccer and volleyball programs,” Activities Director Gary Stevanus said.

Stutler has played and coached volleyball for as long as she can remember. From making memories in her high school years, to creating more as an assistant and head coach, she is a well rounded and qualified person for this job. The team feels privileged to be able to look up to such a great person as their coach.

“We are working well with the people we have and the abilities they possess. The girls who are out are willing to play hard and work hard for the new BHS volleyball program,” junior Sydney Bergan said.

From the court to the field, our fall athletic programs are hard at work becoming something new and improved.

McCune grew up around soccer and has a background in coaching. By coaching BHS, he creates a new reputation, allowing everyone to know about himself and his growing team and program.

“I think we are going to come out strong this year thanks to all the practice and hard work we have put in with our new coach,” senior and team captain Ellis Baughan said. “We’re ready for our upcoming opponents.”
