Some schools use ipads and some schools use laptops/chromebooks. Most schools use ipads but they also allow you to use your own laptops if you would like to. They dont force you to use one or the other like some schools do. 

I personally prefer ipads over laptops. I prefer them because if you like touchscreen better you have it, but if you like using a keyboard better you can also do that. Ipads are more accessible than laptops. They are smaller and lighter so you can transport them around easier. I personally think you are open to more with an ipad. 

Ipads are easier to do work on and they are faster to open and get to where you need to be. You can set your own passwork with an ipsad. You also dont even have to have one if you dont want to. Laptops take longer to log into and they are more difficult because not all of them are touchscreens like ipads.

Some students may like laptops more but some agree that ipads are better and better for schoolwork. Some students might like ipads more because they are like phones so they can access more and understand how to use ipads more.
