With the new school year starting that means new seniors have risen and a whole new wave of freshmen have arrived from the junior high.

“I was nervous, I didn’t really know what it was going to be like, there’s a lot more people and different teachers,” freshman Wesley Martin said. “There is a lot more freedom, it’s more up to you to do your class work.”

Despite the big jump, not all freshmen were nervous about high school, these including Jack Baron and Jonathan Wren.

“No, I wasn’t really nervous, more than anything I wasn’t really excited,” Baron said. “I knew there was going to be more work to it.”

“No I really wasn’t, I knew from my brother it wasn’t really that hard,” Wren said.

Majority of people like it here at the high school better than the junior high and would rather stay here.

“No, you have a lot more things to do in the high school, here you have more freedom,” Wren said.

“I like it here more, there’s more to do, more people to talk to, I just like it better,” Martin said.

The school work is not found to be that hard to some at the high school.

“So far it seems about the same, I knew it was going to be more work but not necessarily harder, I’m sure finals are going to be hard,” Baron said.
