Exchange students excited for year in BC

Sophie Simon and Chiara Moretti are exchange students this year at Baldwin High School. Simon is from Germany and Moretti is from Italy. They both share their opinions on their upcoming year and end of first week.

“I think it is a very nice city and everyone knows everybody and knows the character of everyone,” Simon said. “It is a safe place”

After Simon was asked about her host parents, she was more than pleased.

“My host parents are the nicest people on earth,” Simon said. “I think I’ll have a great year here with them.”

Simon is impressed with her host parents and is hoping for a great year in America. She is excited for this school year and has also taken up a new sport.

“I’m doing cross country,” Simon said. “I’m totally bad at it but I’m getting better.”

Moretti also expresses her thoughts on Baldwin. She was asked about her host parents and the city of Baldwin.

“I love Baldwin and I love my host parents,” Moretti said.

She expressed how she is enjoying Baldwin so far and has also joined a sports team.

“I’m doing tennis,” Moretti said. “I enjoy it a lot.”

She made varsity this year and her teammates have said she is doing very well this far in the season.

The foreign exchange students Simon and Moretti share their opinions on their upcoming year now that the first weeks of school have come to an end. Simon and Moretti have both joined sports and are enjoying their stay at Baldwin.
