Choirs gear up for winter concert

BHS choirs are very active at the school doing concerts every few months.

Choir students have fun at the concerts. The last choir concert was on Nov. 2. Students enjoyed the last concert.

“I think it went pretty well,” senior Madelynn Knisley said. “Everyone did what they were supposed to do.”

Women’s Chorus had a good time also.

“I think it went very well,” sophomore Madeline Miley said. “The concert proved the hard work that we put into the music. The audience was supportive of our efforts.”

Choir director Beth Nelson enjoyed the last concert.

“I thought the last concert went well,” Nelson said. “I was pleased with all the choirs’ sounds in the new space and I thought we had a great variety of literature.”

The winter concert quickly approaches and the choirs share their feelings.

“I’m excited because we get to sing christmas music,” Knisley said.

Women’s Chorus is also excited for the Winter concert.

“The Christmas concert is the concert that everyone looks forward to,” Miley said. “The concert is just full of joy.”

Even the director is excited.

“The Winter Concert is always fun,” Nelson said. “Everyone seems to enjoy the traditional songs from the singers to the audience.”

Every person in choir is looking forward to sing their favorite song.

“It will be fun to sing Carol of the Bells with everyone,” Knisley said.

Women’s and Men’s Chorus are also looking forward to singing Carol of the Bells. Nelson is looking forward to The Bells, Deck the Halls and Away in a Manger from her choirs.
