You might think having a parent as your teacher is weird but some of the student at Baldwin High School think differently.

Many students have parents that are teachers. Some of them like it and some don’t. Olivia Kerr said how she felt about having her dad as a teacher/coach.

“I think it is okay, sometimes it’s weird and other times it’s cool,” Kerr said.

There are quite a few of students with parents as teachers. Some students like having it because they can get help easier and understand work better. Kerr said what she would choose if she could.

“I don’t mind him being in the school, but probably not my teacher,” Kerr said.

Many of the kids that have parents as teachers do not mind. There are different core classes so there is a chance you do not have to be with your parent.

“I like having her as my teacher because I can ask her any questions whenever I need to,” Drew Schoendaller said.

Schoendaller’s mother is an English teacher in BHS. Schoendaller has a different English class and is not with his parent but still has her for his seminar teacher.
