BHS students take spring break by storm

Anywhere from Helicopter rides to hiking, Baldwin High’s students had a variety of spring break vacations.

Some students didn’t have the opportunity to go anywhere for spring break. Junior Meghan Strobel stayed home and got to relax and enjoy her week off of school. Some of the activities she did included:

  • Softball Practice
  • St. Patty’s Parade
  • Netflix
  • Hung out with friends

“I spent my time off having fun and staying busy with my friends and family.” Strobel said.

Senior Corey Valentine went to the island of Kauai in Hawaii. Some of the activities she did included:

  • Hiking
  • Relaxing on the beach
  • Went to a luau

“Exploring new places is one of my favorite things to do so spending my spring break in Hawaii and seeing the beauty of the island was an incredible experience.” Valentine said.

Sophomore Riley O’Rourke traveled to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Some of the activities she did included:

  • Laid on the beach
  • Road in Razors on the beach
  • Swan in the ocean

“It was a great opportunity to get to travel to somewhere new.” O’Rourke said.

Sophomore Calyn Johnson took a roadtrip down to florida with Sophomore Erin Voigts to enjoy the beach. Some of the activities they did included:

  • Shopping
  • Went to the beach
  • Helicopter rides

“I loved getting to see my dad and getting to take a friend, it was so much fun and i can’t wait to go back.” Johnson said.

Sophomore Adam Carlson took a early Spring Break and took a cruise with him family to Cozumel, Mexico. Some of the activities he did included:

  • Held tamed Stingrays
  • Snorkeled
  • All the activities provided on the cruise

“I had a lot of fun getting to be with my family and experience something new.” Carlson said.

Even though not all students got to go somewhere new they found ways to make the best of their Spring Break Vacation.
