Fridays Bash to be 15th annual

For the last 15 years, Bulldog fans have come together for a communitywide tailgate part before the first home game of the season. This year’s Bash is this Friday at the Lista Stadium before the Piper game.
For head football coach Mike Berg it is a huge deal.

“The Bash is a very exciting event,” Berg said. “Piper is going to be a hard team to beat, all of their defensive linemen have returned, I know the freshman are really looking forward to suiting up for their first varsity meet, and getting to do the Bash walk.”

Junior Nick Pattrick is excited to play at the Bash this year.

“It feels really good to play at the Bash,” Pattrick said. “The whole community comes to watch the football team play their first home game of the season, and everyone is super supportive.”

Pattrick is also ready to win their first game.

“I think as a team we are definitely motivated after our loss to win our first game this year, it feels really good to win on your home turf,” he said.

For sophomore Garrett Lang it is a rush.

“The whole crowd is so energetic, and the whole community comes together to watch us

play,” Lang said. “We have been working very hard in practice, so we can play to the best of our ability.”
Starting senior Tyler Davidson,it is an experience like no other.

“The crowd really gets involved, and its usually the biggest turn out of the whole season, Davidson said. “ We have always been really motivated, we are focusing a lot more, and the whole team is really coming along.”
