Teens have many things that make them who they are. They have school, sports, clubs, most importantly jobs. Teens should get a job by the time they are sixteen according to a study. Jobs will help teens develop morals and responsibility.

Many high school students do not get a job by the time they are sixteen. According to family education about 27% of students get a job in high school. When teens get jobs it allows them to learn how to support themselves and they will develop work skills for their job they will have later in life. Some jobs that teens get can also lead them to knowing what they want to do for their actual job later in life.

Teens think they do not have enough time for a job. Studies show they should work 10-15 hours per week. That would give them time to do their homework and if they did sports they would be able to work around it. If they had a job after school it would give their brains a rest. When it comes time to doing homework your brain will function better. Studies show teens who work during the week have a better grade than the average student.

According to family education if a teen gets a job they will feel more confidant, they can also feel independent. Teens like to have independence and they like to feel like they are in control. Getting a job will also help them develop responsibility. They will have to make sure they are on time and doing the right things.

A big factor of why teens get a job is money. It is good for them to make money on their own. They will learn how to support themselves and not depend on someone else providing for them. Teens will learn many life skills for their career and also common knowledge if they get a job.
