“An Attraction to people of the same sex.” This is the definition of the word gay according to the Merriam-Webster online dictionary. This is a word that is very commonly misused. The public has taken the word completely from its original meaning and twisted it into a word to describe something as “wrong” or “bad.” When the word is used in this way, it suggests that being gay or homosexual is wrong or bad.

What’s wrong with being gay? It’s not much different from a normal relationship other than the fact that you happened to be of the same gender. Why does it matter to you who somebody loves? Love is love, that is the bottom line. People of homosexual nature are also bullied often just because they’re different. It is the judgemental world we live in today.

I know that not everybody is going to like my opinion but instead of saying “this story is gay,” try saying something more respectful and less offensive to people who may actually be gay such as “I didn’t like this story because it wasn’t very good.”
