BHS students form “Rally for Aliyah”

BHS students form Rally for Aliyah

At the beginning of the school year a BHS student was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. She was then immediately pulled out of school and was making usual trips to Children’s Mercy Hospital.

“It was pretty shocking. I miss her a lot and it’s definitely weird not seeing her every day,” junior Ashley Ikenberry said. “I love how people are willing to help and buy t-shirts. Then there are people like Courtney and Shelby that are willing to help and make this into a project to help her out.”

Aliyah was a cheerleader going onto her junior year, when suddenly her life changed dramatically. Now all of her friends here at BHS are trying to help her and her family as much as they can. One way that you can help is buy a Rally for Aliyah shirt.

“$10 for short sleeve and $15 for long sleeve. We also have bags, Robert came up with that idea,” junior Courtney Douglas said.

To buy a shirt, students can pick up an order form in the office or you can email [email protected] and send your order in there.

“It’s a great way to raise money for her and her family and make her situation better.,” senior Shelby Corder said.
