Submissions for the Bulldog Bulletin’s favorite class survey have come in and the results have been finalized. There are many classes to take at BHS, and nine major classes have been selected to build the survey.

Out of 49 total voters, 20 percent of students said that physical education was their favorite class. Most seem to love PE because of the lack of schoolwork they get, and because it is fun and enjoyable.

A few students love PE for other reasons as well.

“It has the most activity, and it’s not hard.”

“Sports are fun and I am athletic.”

Art also came in at 20 percent of student votes. Art is very popular, and its a great way for students to show off their creative skills, and improve on the many principles of art.

Students love are because they feel its a way to express themselves.

“I like it because I feel its a great way to express myself through colors and shapes.”

“I love art because it is fun. You can express yourself, and it’s the class I always look forward to.”

The survey said that 14 percent of students said that mathematics was their favorite class. Students seem to love math because of the challenge that comes along with it.

Some students love math just because its second nature to them.

“Math just comes natural for me.”

“I love math and I’m really good at it.”

English comes in at 10 percent of students saying it was their favorite class. English is a great class to take because it improves your choice of words, writing style, grammar, and many more factors.

Students love English for a wide variety of activities.

“I like to read and write, and because I’m pretty good at it.”

“I actually learn from that class, and enjoy what we talk about and what we do.”

According to survey results, 10 percent of students said that foreign language was their favorite class as well. Taking foreign language is a good way to learn about another counties way of speaking and culture.

Students love to learn about other languages besides besides English.

“It’s challenging.”

“Because I like learning about new cultures. It’s neat being able to communicate with many different people.”

A selection of 8 percent students said that science/physics was their favorite class. Taking science and physics classes introduces students to the real world forces that govern how we live.

Some students say they like science because they enjoy how hard it is.

“Science is fun and gives me a challenge.”

The survey said that 6 percent of students said that computers/technology was their favorite class. It is important to take technology classes because of how much we use it in our everyday lives.

Students love working with computers.

“I like taking the class because I enjoy messing around with things on computers.”

The “other” category said that 12 percent of students liked other classes that were not included in the survey.

Students enjoy taking many other classes as well.

“I like taking culinary because he assignments aren’t just busy work, and the activities are fun and Muss is a good teacher.”

“Band. It is a great way to start the say, make friends, and travel around sharing music with others.”

“I like welding because I want to be a better welder and this class improves my skills.”

None of the students surveyed said they liked business/economics classes.

Having a variety of classes to take opens up many opportunities to learn something new in many different forms, and it helps students find out what they would want to do later in their lives.
